Spectrum Soccer
School is a Non-Profit Organization that focuses
on developing youth soccer players technically, tactically,
physically and psychologically. We believe success is measured in individual and
team growth through progressive
development each season, game, and practice;
rather than simply evaluating players by a
win/loss record. Spectrum Soccer School
recognizes that the soccer game itself, is the best teacher.
At the youth ages
(8-13) we allow our kids to play with a unique
sense of freedom by removing the unneeded pressure of winning no
matter what. We teach soccer. We encourage the
kids to try new skills, play with creativity,
improvisation and confidence. We allow them to
make mistakes if they are playing the right way
such as, passing the
ball backwards to the goalie, which at the young
ages, usually ends up conceding a goal. Learning
how to play the game and having fun while
participating is Spectrum’s true intention. We develop players who read the game,
solve problems on the field, and are able to think for themselves.
At the older ages
(13-18) we encourage a more competitive
atmosphere. Our training expectations increase
as well as our focus on winning. We still
develop the players but the fun to winning ratio begins to shift.
As the players get into high school the expectations of winning significantly change and
our players are ready to handle that challenge. They now have the technical ability and
creativity to play with confidence. Our players have learned to make decisions on
the field and effect the game instantaneously.
Isn’t it time you
took command of the ball?
